Reignite Your Passion: The WyoTech Summer Seminar for Educators
Imagine yourself back in the classroom, this time learning alongside fellow educators passionate about the trades. The WyoTech Summer Seminar in Laramie, Wyoming, offers you that chance.
For a few enriching days, you’ll:
- Deepen your knowledge: Choose an industry workshop aligned with your interests, led by our experienced instructors.
- Connect with colleagues: Network and share best practices with educators from across the country
- Explore our campus: Get a firsthand look at WyoTech’s facilities and learning environment.
- Discover Laramie: Get to enjoy a couple of evenings in this charming Wyoming town.

Travel and Accommodation:
WyoTech is pleased to offer a travel stipend to help offset the costs associated with attending the Summer Seminar. High school instructors attending the program will receive a reimbursement check on campus, with a maximum of $900 based on the distance traveled from their hometown to WyoTech.
Please note that travel arrangements and accommodation bookings are the responsibility of attendees.

Course Workshop Options June 23-25, 2025
- Electrical Basics
WyoTech instructors will teach you basic component identification, electrical symbol recognition, and circuit measurements. You will cover voltage drop, available voltage, resistance, and amperage measurements, get an introduction to series and parallel circuits, and have an opportunity to receive a Snap On 525F Multimeter Certification (NC3) (Course limit: 25 participants) - Hydraulics
In this basic hydraulics and schematics class, you get an introduction to the basic components and symbols, as well as use the hydraulic boards to use schematics. (Course limit: 25 participants) - Arc Welding
Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) is commonly referred to as “Stick Welding”. Our Applied Welding Technology instructors will provide you with expert training in this age-old field, using our state-of-the-art welders. (Course limit: 25 participants) - Sheet Metal Shaping
Receive hands-on instruction in the art of shaping sheet metal and sheet aluminum. You will use WyoTech’s tools, including English Wheels, Planishing Hammers, Slip Rollers, Louver Presses, and Pull -Max and Yoder Hammers, to shrink and stretch metals used in the custom car and restoration trades. (Course limit: 25 participants) - Waterborne Painting
Brush up on the basics of painting, along with the correct spraying techniques, storage, and disposal of today’s waterborne paint products. You will use SATA or Iwata paint guns with the PPG Envirobase paint system while following manufacturers’ best practices. During the class, you will create custom projects that can be taken with you. (Course limit: 25 participants) - Trim and Upholstery
Learn the basic principles in automotive upholstery repair and customization through the use of industrial sewing and embroidery equipment. You’ll learn basic seam construction and preparation techniques for automotive upholstery repair. (Course limit: 25 participants)
